Twisted Branch

Last night a few of my friends and I went to the Twisted Branch Tea Bazaar. It was the perfect remedy for exam stress! Located right on the downtown mall the Tea Bazaar offers tea, a variety of healthy organic food, drinks, and hookah.

The Tea Bazar is located up a flight of stairs, right above a little thrift store ( possibly a later blog post!) Once you enter the room the lights are dim and the music is muffled. The atmosphere is just wonderful and cozy, perfect for the winter months! Locals gather here for a small cup of tea at the tiny bar or to enjoy the company of friends around a larger table.

A HUGE variety of teas are offered here... more than half the menu is just comprised of the tea! Bessie chose a Japanese Green minted ginger tea and I opted for a sweeter option with the house Sauvignon Blanc.

Twisted Branch is set up in a way that allows those who choose to smoke Hookah to have a private back space, where the smell and smoke will not effect the front of the tea house. Bessie and I decided to go for the coconut hookah... and it was such a fun surprise when we found it was HOOKAH night. Special prices were in place: so if you are thinking about trying this out I recommend going on a Monday night. Prices drop from $15 to $10 for the basic hookah and $18 to $12 for the premium.

We ordered our hookah and picked up a board game from them collection of games in the corner! Battleship it was...

I highly recommend trying out Twisted Branch Tea Bazar for a relaxing night out with friends. The mood is soothing and the perfect option for a fun night out on the Cville downtown mall during this holiday season.

Have a Transcendent Tuesday... and check back soon!
