Rockfish Gap Country Store

Created in the 1930's as a shed for farmers to store as well as sell their local produce, the building was transformed into a country store in 1965 and has been an attraction ever since! The Rockfish Gap Country Store is filled with anything you can possibly imagine... from honey to old painted desks to antique pendants.

My family and I were just driving along and happened upon this treasure! We pulled to the side of the road and decided to go on in... and much to our suprise there were all sorts of fun and unique items offered for sale.

From local wines, jams, honeys, peanut brittles, and preserves....

To refinished desks, bedside tables, and headboards....

I wanted to re-do my room and apartment living room right away! With the cool colors and bright rugs, the furniture and accessories were well priced and there is sure to be something to please everyones taste... both simple and complex styles offered for all!

I love the use of antique pieces mixed into the new.... such as these great leather suitcases, perfect for a study of living room space.

I just love these old coke bottles placed in a antique wooden carting box. Fun to just look at and take pictures!

Rockfish Gap Country store is full of inspiration, and who would have thought as it is located right off the main road in Nelson Country.  Open seven days a week from 10am until 5pm... make a visit and I am sure you will not be disappointed. From C'ville take 64 West to Exit 107. After exiting turn left onto 250 W and follow this road for approximately 8 miles... not too bad for a fun day adventure!

Have a Super Saturday... and check back soon!
